President Jokin Aperribay addressed the media following the match against SL Benfica to condemn the behavior of several fans from the Portuguese team.
"It pains me to speak on such a magnificent night, but I must apologize to Real fans. We have confiscated a lot from Benfica's fans; there have been numerous searches, but we couldn't seize everything. Real will pursue legal action against the criminals who launched the flares. We won't tolerate it. Real will pursue these criminals by any means necessary," he stated.
"Some matches are turning into pre-fights. A non txuri urdin member from Gipuzkoa was arrested today. There is an issue that has no simple solution, but we will use all available tools to bring these individuals to justice. They are criminals.”
