“We must provide stability to Anoeta project”

This morning, the president of la Real Sociedad, Jokin Aperribay, gave a press conference to explain the details of the General Shareholders Meeting that will take place next December 13 at Kursaal Congress Centre. There, Aperribay will submit the accounts and budgets of the preceding and current year and the election and appointment of the Board of Directors will be held.

The txuri-urdin president explained why this decision has been taken: “The election and appointment of the Board of Directors will be held earlier and we will stand for the re-election because of the football pitch. It´s been a long time since we have been working on this project to become a reality and we think that the same Board of Directors should be there during the work progress. After a period of reflection, we decided to bring forward by one year the appointment of the Board of Directors. We are convinced that it is the best thing we can do. The works will cause difficulties and the Board of Directors shall not be thinking of the elections at that time”.

Aperribay stated: “If the shareholders give us the confidence, we will start strong. We have a wonderful project which we started several years ago. This Real is people-oriented: Zubieta, the club´s digitization, the agreements with other clubs… Thinking of people is an incentive for the new Real. We want to deepen in projects such as ‘Unconditional Realzale’. Thanks to this idea members will come to Anoeta for free”.
