“We want to continue this way”

Asier Illarramendi attended the media on Monday and looked back at the weekend win over Deportivo – the team’s third consecutive win. “We’re all very happy – it’s not easy to win all of your first three league games. We’ve taken nine points from nine and from difficult games, two of them away from home… But what has pleased me most is how we are working as a squad, and the results of that are there to see out on the field”, Illarra told reporters in Zubieta.  “All of us are ambitious. Last season we realized that we are a good team and that we are capable of putting in great performances and win a lot of matches. This season, we are all implicated in the job at hand and we’re keen to make it a good season. We’ve started well, and now we have to continue this way – that’s what we are working towards. It’s a good sign that we have won both of our away games”.

Next up for Illarra and his team mates is Thursday’s Europa League meeting with Rosenborg: “We want to continue winning as many games as possible and now we have an important game in the Europa League and we want to start well in Europe too. After that we have another difficult game – against Real Madrid at home, but we’re playing well and we want to keep going. We’ve had an ideal start, better than we had expected”.
