Following yesterday’s Annual General Meeting, during which the shareholders once again placed their trust in the governing bodies of the “txuri urdin” club, the new members of the Board of Directors held their first board meeting today. The Board decided that Jokin Aperribay should continue in his position as president of the Real Sociedad club. After that first board meeting, the President appeared before the media to present the members of the Board of Directors and to explain their roles and functions within the Club.
The Board of Directors of Real Sociedad de Futból SAD is as follows:
President: Jokin Aperribay.
Vice-presidents: Ángel Oyarzun, Mikel Ubarrechena, Joseba Ibarburu.
Councillors: Fermín Altuna, Nerea Aramburu, Maite Azcoaga, Aitor Díaz de Mendibil, José Ramón Fernández de Barrena, Javier Igarza, Alex Pereda, Jesús Ruiz, Ignacio Serrats, Alex Uranga.
With regard to the functions and areas of work in which the members of the Board of Directors are going to carry out their duties, the Club is divided into the following sections:
President: Jokin Aperribay.
Vice President General and Legal Affairs: Ángel Oyarzun.
Professional Football Area: Aitor Díaz de Mendibil, Ignacio Serrats.
Football Education Area: Joseba Ibarburu, Alex Uranga, Alex Pereda, Maite Azcoaga.
Economics and Administration Area: Nerea Aramburu, Jesús Ruiz, José Ramón Fernández de Barrena, Ignacio Serrats.
Board Secretary: José Luis Martínez.
Social and Institutional Relationships with Clubs: Mikel Ubarrechena, Fermín Altuna.
Strategic Area: Javier Igarza.
Infrastructure Area: Jesús Ruiz.
The President also spoke in detail of the Club’s new professional organization chart which is as follows:

Jokin Aperribay explained the reasons for these changes. “It is an important moment for the Club, and the vision of the new members of the Board is going to help. We have to look to the future, Real Sociedad needs to be stable and to grow," said the president. His speech was just as ambitious as yesterday. “The new organization chart is designed to ensure better processes within the Club. Real Sociedad is a club that is growing, and this chart will help us to have effective and efficient management to meet the objectives we have set ourselves for the future. We want to move the Club forward”, he insisted
