What a crazy game! In a match with alternatives, la Real beat Girona 3-5. The best way to start these four intense weeks that lie ahead before the World Cup break. Sorloth, Brais Méndez, Zubimendi and Kubo clinched all the three points for the txuri urdin side.
The first half had a bit of everything. La Real started the game very well and took an early lead. The realistas opened the scoring thanks to a fine individual move by Sorloth with 7 minutes gone. The hosts were not troubled by the goal, but thanks to a long-range shot from Riquelme which went into the top corner, they equalized and turned the score around. Arnau added a second with a header. La Real were a little shaken, but they recovered and equalized with a killer move by Sorloth just before the break. The Norwegian controlled with his chest and, without letting the ball bounce, volleyed into the corner.
The second half started with a great chance that Merino sent into the side netting. Two minutes later, Castellanos scored the third for the hosts with a poisoned shot. Imanol's men were angry due to that goal, and began to completely dominate the match. As a result of this control, Brais Méndez equalized with a shot into the far post that was impossible for the local goalkeeper to save. The match got a bit crazy with so many goals.
