Real continues to make progress. Today, the txuri urdin beat Real Betis 0-3 at the Benito Villamarín in a serious match which shows that the team are in great shape. Real came away with the three points thanks to goals by Portu, Oyarzabal and Januzaj, strikes that send Real top of the table.
Both teams have started the season in great form. The realistas got off to a good start and dominated the possession of the ball. Imanol’s side went for it, fast and when needed. A few counterattacks could foretell what happened just before the break. Prior to this, Willian José’s shot went wide. However, two minutes before the break Real took the lead after Portu beat Bravo.
It was a phenomenal second-half start. VAR ruled out a goal by Betis. Real completely dominated the game and created goal scoring chances. The txuri urdin were penalty awarded after a foul was committed on Isak and once more, Oyarzabal converted from the penalty spot. Moreover, Januzaj added a third in the 88th minute.
