Women's national team debut

The txuri-urdin forward Nahikari García has been called up for the Women’s national football team. The coach of the Spanish national team, Jorge Vilda, has called up Nahikari in order to replace the FC Barcelona player Alexia Putellas. Thus, Real is the third team having more national players since the goalkeeper Marian Quiñones is also part of the national team.

The txuri-urdin players will meet tomorrow and will play two games of the Women’s World Cup France qualifying round. The championship will take place next summer. Fixtures taking place:

-          Spain – Finland: Friday, August 31. El Sardinero (19:00)

-          Spain – Serbia: Tuesday, September 4. Las Gaunas (20:30)
