REAL SOCIEDAD 2-3 VALENCIA CF

A hard blow for Real

Vídeo

Real lost 2-3 against Valencia CF on a exciting match played in Anoeta. The txuri-urdin players tied their opponents twice but at the end of the match, with 10 players in both teams, the balance tipped in favour of the away team.

We didn’t see much quality during the first half. Real tried to dominate the match but Marcelino´s players stood strong and attacked with great speed. After Willian José´s headed effort, Valencia scored their first goal. This emboldened the realistas. Willian José had a great chance to score but his effort was parried by Domenech. However, there was nothing he could do when Oyarzabal swung a corner from the right and Aritz scored with a header. In the final minutes of the first half, both teams were giving the best of themselves. The away team was dangerous and Eusebio´s players were pushing hard. Draw before the half time-break in a real match.

In the second half both teams were in search of the victory and that has given us an amazing football. Goal kick for Valencia and Nacho Vidal scored. A quick reply from Real arrived from Oyarzabal´s effort. Igor Zubeldia committed a rough foul and got his second yellow card, being sent off. Five minutes before the end of the match, Zaza scored and that gave Valencia the victory.

It´s been a bad week for our players since they lost three consecutive games. We must think of Europe now. On Thursday, we play in Saint Petersburg!
