A legend forever

Last week, we announced that Aritz Elustondo will bring his time at the club to a close at the end of the season. After more than ten years with the first team, the defender from Beasain has embodied everything it means to represent Real Sociedad.

Dedication, humility, commitment and team spirit have defined his journey in txuri urdin colours. Aritz has made 311 appearances for the club, leaving behind memories that will endure for generations, especially the two Copa del Rey titles in which he played such an important role.

Aritz fulfilled the dream shared by so many young people across Gipuzkoa. In turn, we were fortunate to have a player like him wear and honour our badge.

This Sunday, the club will pay tribute to his outstanding career before kick-off. Club president Jokin Aperribay will present him with Real Sociedad’s gold and diamond insignia in recognition of his service and loyalty. It will be a moment for the entire txuri urdin family to show their appreciation, admiration and respect with the ovation he truly deserves.
