Carlos Fernández was born on the 22nd of May 1996 in Castilleja de Guzmán (Seville). Fernández learned his trade at the Sevilla academy and went on to make his first-team debut aged 17. He then moved to second division side Deportivo de la Coruña on loan in the 18-19 season, where he scored 10 goals in 29 games. Last season, he moved to Granada in a temporary deal. He enjoyed an excellent year with the nazarí side, playing a key role as the team scaled LaLiga’s summit for the first time in their history. The player scored 14 goals in 40 appearances. The new Real Sociedad player also played for the Spain Under-19 team that lifted the European Championship in 2015.
