This afternoon, Real played their second friendly in England. The txuri urdin and Millwall FC played out a heart-stopping 3-3 draw. The hosts, who finished their pre-season today, will play the Championship next week. For our part, we are closer to the start of the LaLiga season.
The British missed an early penalty as Remiro’s performance was simply superb. Later, Jed Wallace made no mistake from twelve yards. The team from Guipúzcoa grew into the game and turned the game on its head with goals from Isak (after an assist by Djouahra) and Zurutuza, who fired a bullet into the far corner of the net. Good vibes before the break.
In the second half, Millwall equalized through Thompson, who scored from outside the box giving Remiro no chance. Four minutes later, Isak scored a brace from close range to put us front. In the 83rd minute, Mahoney curled an effort into the far corner of the net to secure a draw.
Next week, Real will play two more friendlies: on Wednesday, the txuri urdin will take on Alavés at Zubieta and on Saturday, the squad will return to England to face Watford.
