It was a bad time. La Real fell to Getafe and the azulones took the three points home after beating 2-1. Willian José put the locals in front but Djné and Ángel turned the situation around. Bad sensations for the blanquiazules towards the end of the season.
La Real was plain in the first half. The rainy conditions made it difficult but the realistas did it well, they were focused, they played with intensity and were accurate. Oyarzábal had two chances to score but his efforts were saved by Guaita. Our top scorer broke the deadlock. Zubeldia swang a cross into the box and Willian José scored with a powerful header. One minute later, the visitor Angel came close to net the equaliser with a crossed shot that went wide. On the stroke of half-time, Djené thudded a powerful header and scored the first for Getafe. La Real had the most of the ball, but the scoreline didn’t reflect what was seen on the pitch.
The second half didn’t start well. Ángel slotted home and the locals were not able to change things up. They gave their best but didn’t create clear chances.
This defeat leaves the realistas in a very difficult situation. The only option is to keep on fighting and try to rise up the table even if the end of the season doesn’t look very promising. We must work hard, it is a question of pride. Aúpa Real!
