La Real had to get along with one point on the match at Montivili. They scored first but didn’t settle the match and the local team evened the score during the second half. Taking points away is always something positive but we have a bitter sensation.
The local team were in top shape but the realistas mitigated the risk. Oyarzabal directed the ball behind the defense and Willian José´s great play put la Real in front. In comparison to other occasions, the txuri-urdin team didn’t have much possession but Rulli´s goal was in safe hands during the first half.
During the second half, the team from Girona started hard and that led to a draw. Eusebio´s players had chances to score the second goal but they didn’t hit the mark and paid for it. Stuani scored with a header. After this goal, la Real dominated more than ever but Januzaj missed the goal with a shot from the outside box. This point is not enough. The realista ambition needs more. However, we look forward and hope to qualify for UEFA Europa League round of 16. On Thursday, we will travel to Trondheim!
