“If a club such as la Real knocks on your door…”. This sentence makes Miguel Ángel Moyá’s intentions clear. After his arrival and express debut, the goalkeeper from Mallorca was officially presented at Zubieta this afternoon. After the photoshoot, one fan wished him all the best and took his jersey as a souvenir. Later, the playmaker faced the media together with the president Jokin Aperribay and Loren, the sports director.
The president welcomed Moyá and stated : “Miguel, I appreciate your enthusiasm about joining the team. I wish you and your family a happy stay in San Sebastián, I want to see you succeed with la Real and wish you happy and fruitful years”.
Moyá shared his joy about being here. “It is the first time that I switch to another team so fast. I didn’t have much time to decide but I think that it’s a good sign to say yes in a very short time. I had no intention of leaving the team, but they knocked on my door, a great team did. I have always thought that this is a well structured team and their offer was a challenge for me. It’s a unique opportunity, I have heard very good things both of the club and the squad. I’ve just been here for a few hours, but it feels like forever”.
On his behalf, Loren remarked: “Sisniega’s injury first and then Rulli’s, were totally unexpected situations which needed to be solved. We understood that we needed a goalkeeper. For us, Moyá is one of the top goalkeepers and we knew that, if possible, we would choose him. La Real and its structure have shown that they are able to solve unexpected situations and act quickly”.
