What a game! La Real played their best match of the season. It was a perfect performance, the realistas did really well and beat one of the hardest LaLiga opponents. Sacrifice, determination and football. Fans enjoyed every minute of this flawless game. The goal by Willian José and Juanmi’s brace thrilled a vibrant crowd at Anoeta. Three valuable points to keep fighting until the end of the season.
Today was a very tough game with an impassable rock as an opponent. La real started the game perfectly, the players were focused and intended on doing well. The team wanted to keep the good run going. Scoring against Atlético is never easy but today you could predict that la Real would score. Januzaj pulled the ball back for Willian José who fired the ball and put la Real ahead. Griezmann’s shot went over the bar but the colchoneros kept trying. La Real were deservedly ahead at the break.
It was a strong start to the second. La Real played with intensity, wanting to create chances and score. Atlético, true to their style, were waiting to take advantage of the opponents’ mistakes. Januzaj was in sparkling form today and drove Atlético crazy. Again, he threatened Oblak with an effort on target. The rojiblancos had their best chance when Vrsaljko’s header went wide. Minutes went by and Imanol’s team continued standing strong. The txuri-urdin team had scoring chances but we were still 1-0 up. The ten final minutes saw Juanmi extending our lead to 2-0.
