La Real missed the opportunity to have their award at the end of the season. The realistas lost 2-0 in La Rosaleda in a poor game in which Alguacil’s team were overcome by the locals. Málaga is at the foot of the table and is sentenced to a season in the Second Division. However, the local team were effective and beat the donostiarras putting and end to our good run of results.
It was a very strange atmosphere. Málaga relegated to Second Division and their fans criticizing their actions while la Real was playing poorly. The team from Andalusia had a chance to score and they did. Adrián put Málaga in front following a corner kick. The realistas had some scoring chances, specially Januzaj, who made some clear chances but didn’t take advantage. In the 35th minute, Málaga added the second through En Nesyry.
La Real had to play with intensity in the second, which they did but to no avail. Zurutuza posed a threat but his crossed shot went wide. It was a shame. Nobody expected this result now. Damn it. La Real have four matches left and they must keep on fighting.
