CD LEGANÉS 2-1 REAL SOCIEDAD

Real lose in the last minute

Vídeo

Real fell to a 2-1 defeat in Leganés despite taking early lead in the first half through Isak. The hosts turned the scoreboard around in the second half thanks to a free kick from Óscar.

Butarque is always a difficult pitch. Despite being at the foot of the table, the “basque” Aguirre has reactivated his players and they are fighting in order to avoid relegation territory. The locals went all out from the beginning but we have Remiro, who brilliantly saved a strike by Braithwaite to avoid the opening goal. Then, Isak broke the deadlock with an amazing right-footed shot. Imanol’s team continued their attack. Januzaj should have been given a penalty but it wasn’t seen by the referee. The score could have been 2-0 at the break.

The second half started well for the hosts as they equalized through Omeruo. The team from Gipuzkoa didn’t push forward in the second half and the ball didn’t fall properly for either of the two sides. In the final seconds of the match, Leganés took down Real with a stunning free kick from Óscar. We have to recover, we've got a hugely demanding week coming up! Aúpa Real!
