It was a good game for the realistas at Anoeta. Goals from Canales, Januzaj and Oyarzabal made things tough for the visitors and easy for the blanquiazules. With not much resistance being offered, Girona FC was overcome by la Real. A resounding win which helps to climb up the table.
The season would have been different with more games like this but there is no point in complaining now. La Real started strong, they had a lot of pace and took advantage of their chances. The local team forged ahead soon when Oyarzábal missed his chance and Canales beat Bono from outside the box. The txuri-urdin team continued to attack and shortly after Héctor Moreno had a wonderful chance to score but he missed the target. La Real were in front and Girona didn’t produce a reaction. In the 30th minute, Januzaj steered the ball home thanks to Pardo’s assist and netted the second for la Real. The first half was a txuri-urdin monologue in which la Real could have had more goals.
The second half kicked off at break-neck pace with scoring chances for both teams. All indicated that we would extend our lead and that’s exactly what happened. Zurutuza made a great pass and Oyarzábal slotted home. Until the end, la Real had the control of the game. In the 85th minute, Oyarzábal scored a brace and three minutes later Juanmi put the icing on the cake scoring the final goal.
This victory will help the team to climb up the table and build self-esteem.
