Starting point

La Real kicked off the new season with a hard-earned draw tonight at Mestalla. In a tightly contested match played under intense heat, Sergio Francisco’s side delivered a solid performance and secured a valuable point after quickly responding to falling behind. Take Kubo’s goal earned the txuri urdin their first point of the campaign.

The opening moments showed encouraging signs, with La Real displaying energy and determination. Brais tested the home goalkeeper from outside the box, while Barrene created danger with a strong individual effort that went just wide. Valencia offered little in attack during the first half, aside from a threatening cross that found no one to finish. The teams went into the break level, with La Real appearing slightly sharper.

Early in the second half, following a well-crafted move by Corberán’s side, Diego López beat Remiro to put Valencia ahead. La Real responded quickly, and after a precise build-up led by Brais, Kubo unleashed a powerful left-footed strike from the edge of the area to equalize. The txuri urdin almost took the lead when Óskarsson faced the keeper one-on-one, but his angled shot lacked precision. Valencia also came close on another occasion, sending a strong effort over the bar.

A solid point to start the season. The team is still developing, and starting with positive results always provides a boost.
