SD EIBAR 1-2 REAL SOCIEDAD

Three more points

Vídeo

It’s been a weird match, but these three points are incredibly valuable. Real beat Eibar 2-1 at Ipurua and continue at the top of the table. The txuri urdin were in rampant form and took the win with goals by Oyarzabal and Willian José.

Due to the coronavirus situation the match was played behind closed doors. Nobody wants to play behind closed doors but we have to accept the current situation and play in any event. Real put in a very good performance tonight and broke the deadlock in the 16th minute. Mikel Oyarzabal converted from the penalty spot to give Imanol’s side the lead. Before, Willian José’s crossed shot went just wide. The armeros could have equalized after the referee awarded Eibar a penalty for handball. Orellana tried his luck but our goalkeeper Remiro made a superb save to deny him. Real were taking the lead at the break.

The side from San Sebastián were comfortable and the armeros didn’t do any harm. Real had the possession and Willian José increased the lead after an assist from Portu. Charles added one for SD Eibar in the 90th minute after a handball ended in a penalty.

Imanol’s side are capable to play any game. They continue strong at the top. We want to keep this good run going! Aupa Real!
