The draw in the first leg was good but today’s match was an absolute epic accomplishment. The realistas earned a 2-0 win against Celta de Vigo with two top goals from Oyarzabal and Januzaj and have have qualified for the Copa del Rey Last 16.
The draw at Vigo was enough, but Real wanted more and went all out for victory from the first whistle. The realistas dominance was soon reflected on the score board. In the 11th minute, Oyarzabal scored a sublime volley to put us front. Celta was playing good but were not creating danger. In the 27th minute, Januzaj brilliantly scored through the upper corner of the net with a left-footed shot. That was an spectacular goal. Real were deservedly ahead at the break but the match was not over yet.
The tone of the match changed after the break and none of the teams created goal scoring opportunities. Real was happy with the result and the team from Vigo didn’t continue fighting. Thus, Garitano’s team have sealed their place in the Copa del Rey Last 16, the draw for which is set to take place on Thursday 13 December. Aúpa Real!
