Real Sociedad’s upward trajectory is showing no signs of slowing down. The txuri urdin racked up yet another away win against Cádiz (0-1), the team's sixth win on the bounce in LaLiga. A goal by Isak in the second half consolidates Real’s lead at the top of the table.
The txuri urdin were dominant on literally every aspect. The hosts failed to touch in the opposite box whereas the realistas created plenty of chances. Imanol’s side could have opened the scoring before the break but failed to find the back of the net. Merino had two very good chances but he was unable to make the most of both. The team worked brilliantly from an offensive perspective in the first half.
It was now only really a matter of time before the visitors hit the front which they finally did. Real kept going until they got their reward. Earlier, Oyarzabal shot from inside the area but Ledesma produced a brilliant save to deny him. However, there was nothing he could do when Isak turned it into the net with a fantastic header. Real’s good work got its reward. The hosts were not able to create further danger.
Another win. The break has not affected the realistas, who have the feeling that they’ve been good. Next up for Real is an away game against AZ in the UEFA Europa League. Aupa Real!
