Group stage opponents

AS Mónaco, PSV and Sturm Graz

We now know who we will be facing in the UEFA Europa League Group Stage. The draw saw Real placed in Group B with AS Mónaco, PSV Eindhoven and Sturm Graz.

AS Mónaco is a historic team in European football. They played at the Reale Arena during pre-season. Under Nico Kovac, the side from Monaco has the help of talented players such as Fábregas, Ben Yedder or Gelson Martins. Last Wednesday, the Rouge et Blanc slipped into the Europa League after Champions League playoff elimination. Their home is the Stade Louis II, with a capacity for 18,500 spectators.

PSV Eindhoven is another classic. League champions on 24 occasions, one European Cup and one UEFA Cup. The former player Bruma or the German Mario Gotze play for the Dutch side. Their stadium is the Philips Stadion, with a capacity for 35,000 spectators.

Sturm Graz is a pioneer team from Austria. With three league titles and five cups, last season they finished second, behind the Red Bull Salzburg. Merkur Arena is their home ground, stadium with a capacity for 5,400 spectators.

The final schedule will be announced this afternoon.
