It is not a bad start. La Real got their Europa League campaign underway with a draw in Eindhoven. The txuri urdin drew 2-2 against PSV Eindhoven in an evenly fought tie between two tough sides. Januzaj and Isak scored the goals for la Real.
The Dutch came out all guns blazing right from the first whistle and carved out a chance to open the scoring when Zahavi fired a shot from the edge of the area. However his effort was gathered in by Remiro. Isak pounced on a sloppy opponent and came close to open the scoring but it was Gotze who made it 1-0 to the locals. Imanol’s side responded quickly and turned the scoreboard around eight minutes later through Januzaj and Isak.
The second half was also very close and very competitive. Gakpo scored the equalizer after beating Remiro. From that moment on, both teams gave it their all to take the win. Teze fired a shot that hit the post and Oyarzabal did not come out on top in the one-on-one with the keeper.
La Real took an important point in a very difficult pitch. The txuri urdin will face AS Monaco at the Reale Arena in two weeks’ time. But first, we have a date on Sunday. Real to face Sevilla at home! Aupa, Real!
