MANCHESTER UNITED 0-0 REAL SOCIEDAD

Heads held high

Tonight la Real said goodbye to the UEFA Europa League after a 0-0 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford. The txuri urdin have been knocked out of the competition but they fought until the end and gave it everything on the pitch.

The side from San Sebastián got off to a good start as the clearest opening of the first half came twelve minutes later when they were awarded a penalty. However, Mikel Oyarzabal missed the target. Then, the Reds started to play better and had two clear chances. Bruno Fernandes’ effort hit the post whereas James tried his luck with a header that was denied by Remiro.

After the restart, la Real created a good chance that might have put them front but Sagnan’s header hit the crossbar. La Real tried hard until the final whistle but to no avail.

The txuri urdin have been knocked out of the competition. Unfortunately, we got a strong side in the draw but we’ll be back soon.  Aupa Real!
