A few hours after Iñigo Martínez payed for his release clause and ended his relationship with the txuri-urdin club, the President Jokin Aperribay spoke to the press at Anoeta.
His response was unequivocal: “If anyone doesn’t want to dress in the txuri-urdin colors, leaving the team is the best thing they can do. Iñigo is now history. It was unexpected but we have no regrets. We will work hard to deal decisively with the present and future of la Real. The strength of all of us will make la Real bigger. We will give our all for those who stay with us and feel proud of wearing our shirt”.
Aperribay is very confident about the club values and philosophy. “We want to show that we have confidence in la Real, in its players and in its coaches. We would like to thank fans for their support. These are tough times for the first team but, more than ever, we rely on our values, on our present and future and I´m convinced that if we keep doing the same things, we will go far training our players and we will get results ”, he stated.
