DEPORTIVO ALAVÉS 2-0 REAL SOCIEDAD

Real slip up

Vídeo

It was a poor game for the txuri urdin. Real fell to Deportivo Alavés as the goal from Martín in the second half condemned the team to a 2-0 defeat at Mendizorrotza.

Real didn’t create any danger and lacked any sense of haste in the first half. As a result, their passive approach was punished by Alavés. The best chance fell to Oyarzabal, whose header went just wide. Lucas took two shots, but without success.

In the second half, it was more of the same from the txuri urdin. They lacked intensity and didn’t create any danger. Moreover, after a corner-kick, the ball went in Remiro’s goal. After a lengthy VAR discussion, Alavés disallowed goal was given. Hard blow for Real who was unable to react.   Furthermore, things went from bad to worse for Real as Zaldua was sent off. Then, Martín scored deep into injury time to give Alavés the win.

Painful defeat for the team from San Sebastián who come away empty-handed from their trip to Vitoria and add just one point on their return to LaLiga action after the pandemic break. We must get back to winning ways! Aupa Real!
