Real Sociedad vs Athletic Club

Real Sociedad have been drawn against Athletic Club in the Copa del Rey semifinals. The draw took place this morning at the Spanish FA headquarters in Las Rozas, setting up a new Basque derby in the knockout stage. The first leg will be played on February 10–11, with the second leg scheduled for March 3–4–5

The two Basque sides have faced each other eleven times in Copa del Rey competition, with Real Sociedad advancing on three occasions and Athletic Club on eight. Their most recent meeting came in the 2020 Copa del Rey final, where Real Sociedad were crowned champions.
