La Real will be in the Europa League Round of 32 draw. The txuri urdin beat PSV Eindhoven 3-0 in a very good and effective match. A brace by Oyarzabal and a goal by Sørloth were celebrated by fans in the stands of the Reale Arena.
The game began balanced but it was la Real who carved out a chance to open the scoring when Portu slung over a cross that found the opponents’ defence. Then, the hosts nearly made the breakthrough, when Isak linked up with Aihen, weaved into the area and fired a left-footed shot that hit Drommel. PSV tried his luck through Sangaré, who fired in a left-footed shot that was denied by Remiro. The best chance for the visitors fell to Bruma but his shot from long range struck the crossbar. Two minutes before the break, la Real was penalty awarded and, as usual, Oyarzabal made no mistake from the penalty spot. Imanol’s side were ahead at the break. However, the txuri urdin had 45 minutes in front of them.
Following the half-time break, the captain scored a brace and decided the game using his left foot to send the ball past Drommel. PSV gave it their all in the final minutes but they were reduced to ten men after Sangaré was sent off. At that point, PSV let their intensity drop and Sørloth made it 3-0 for the txuri urdin with a powerful left-footed shot.
Great European night at the Reale Arena. We’re happy, we’re excited and we want more! The best is they to come but we’ll have to wait until February. Aupa, Real!
