Real Sociedad could have come away with an advantage from Son Moix, but they didn't capitalize on the chances they had and leave with a goalless draw from this first-leg match of the Copa del Rey semifinals. Everything will be decided at the Reale Arena.

The match occurred as expected, with both teams well-organized defensively and not taking risks, which made it difficult to get close to the penalty areas. The txuri urdin, as usual, controlled the game, while the hosts waited to promptly reply with the two strikers they played. Abdón, with a right-footed shot, sent the ball wide in the best opportunity for Agirre's team. Sadiq, after a tempting cross from Barrene, headed wide in the clearest chance of the first half.

The second half started with two clear opportunities, one for each team. Abdón missed a rebound whereas Sadiq did the same with a Barrene cross that he couldn't direct into the net. Real Sociedad intensified their dominance and had very clear chances to take the lead, specially through Sadiq. The most notable chance was a Kubo cross in the small box, which he sent wide.

A goalless draw sets the stage for an exciting second leg. The Reale Arena has to be rocking to secure a spot in another final. We look forward to it. We are Real.
