Real Sociedad and Jon Martín have reached an agreement to extend the defender's contract. The new deal, signed this morning at the club's offices at Anoeta, will run until the end of the 2031-32 season.

Jon Martín represents both the present and the future of the txuri urdin club. At just 20 years of age, the Lasarte-Oria-born centre-back has already established himself as a regular starter and a key figure in the Real Sociedad defence. His emergence at the highest level has been nothing short of remarkable, and there is still plenty more to come.

Speaking to Real Sociedad TV, the player shared his thoughts on the new deal. Jon said he was “very happy to sign this extension, Real Sociedad is the club that has given me everything.” Eager to continue contributing at the highest level, he also acknowledged the wealth of role models he has around him in the dressing room. “Mikel, Igor, Ander… they are examples for me and I try to learn as much as possible from them,” said the young defender.
