Raúl earned himself the opportunity to be a member of the first-team squad through his hard work and a refusal to give in. Following over a year on the sidelines, he has secured a place in the squad courtesy of the effort shown day in, day out throughout pre-season. At home in both the right and left centre-back roles, he's comfortable with both feet and is a no-nonsense defender. He has slotted into the side excellently.
