Real Sociedad, along with an institutional delegation, participated virtually in the official voting for the FIFA World Cup 2030 bid. The event was held at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas, Madrid, where attendees followed the FIFA Congress live, leading to the vote for the winning bid, which includes Spain, Morocco, and Portugal.Reale Arena, selected by the RFEF, is among ten other stadiums designated to host matches for this prestigious tournament organized by FIFA. This is a significant milestone for our stadium, which began its renovation in 2017 and will, in a decade, host World Cup matches. The Congress was attended virtually by Ángel Oyarzun, vice president; Xabi Prieto, institutional representative; and Begoña Larzabal, business director of Real Sociedad.In a future phase, the final selection of venues that will participate in the tournament will be confirmed.
