"We aspire to the maximum in the Cup"

The coach continued: "Valladolid are in the Second Division but they are a top flight side. Many of their players have the same quality you see in the First Division, and their coach has a long and successful career behind him – at every club he has worked for, his teams have performed to a very high level; he has managed to gain promotion with a number of clubs... so we are going to face difficulties, Valladolid are surely going to be motivated to take on us and will be trying to make the next round. We will need to be fully prepared for this first game, knowing that, with all of the difficulties we will face tomorrow, we will need to draw the best out of ourselves. That’s the only way we will be able to get through this tie". Eusebio reiterated what Real Sociedad’s aims are in the league and the Cup as he ended, "We aim for the maximum – whether it’s in the league or the Copa del Rey because I don’t think that we should be putting limits on ourselves. Why limit yourself when you’ve only just started a competition? We will take it one game at a time, gaining points along the way in the league and trying to get through every round in the Copa – with the objective of getting as far as we possibly can in both competitions. We have the potential to aspire to achieve the maximum and we have great players – the conditions which this club has given us cannot be much better – we have everything we need. We have shown that we can beat anyone but we have to keep working and keep our feet on the ground. With hard work, unity and humility we can aspire to everything, and to achieve that we will need the help of everyone in the squad".
